A change of pace for the
"The Old Minneha Nature Preserve", this little cache may drive you
batty.
Located just west of, and
adjacent to, the southern section of Andover Central Park, this
peaceful place, teeming with wildlife, is a great spot for a nature
hike suitable for all ages. The land is owned by the local township
and open to the public for hiking. There is no need to bushwhack
while exploring as you can easily meander through the land along
the remnants of old Yorktown Road in addition to a few walking
trails.
This cache can be accessed
through Andover Central Park and is a short walk from the suggested
parking coordinates. Please note, the parking
coordinates are in a part of Andover central Park which is closed
from dusk to dawn. Please Do Not park
at or on school property. To the west of the parking
coordinates is a walking path that takes you through a break in the
N/S tree line to the Preserve.
The cache is located just off
an elevated walking path. You are looking for an evily camouflaged
micro container with a log only. For cache longevity, the
container is removable, but not required. Instead, gently pull the
cache from it's hiding place and you will gain the access you need.
Please re-hide it just as you found it, and try to “leave no
trace”.
