Everyone had so much fun the last couple years, we just
had to do it again. So here we go folks. There will be food, games,
trading, lots of schmoozing and fun.
So come on out and meet up with old friends and make new ones,
share your experiences, swap & share Travel Bugs, Trinkets with
a hole (rhymes with mathflags) , Geocoins, and have a good time.
Speaking of Trinkets with a hole, this year SCGA will be offering a
special Event Trinket with a hole for this event, quantity is
limited so be sure to get yours ordered, they will be available at
the event.
Well here's the deal, Peter Georabbit, has asked us
for our help once again and asked us to give everyone a message.
He's managed to drop a bunch of his Easter Eggs. So he needs our help to
find them.
Stupid Rabbit
Here's his story this time...
" I was hopping around this vast area called Orlando Wetlands
with my basket of my special Geoeggs, looking for a place narrow
enough to cross so I don't get my little paws wet. I was already
nervous being in the woods, let alone being just generally clumsy.
But I was especially nervous here because of the sightings of the
great skunk ape recently. I was even shown this recent photo of
when he was spotted here.
So can you really blame me? I can remember when as a leveret
(that's a child bunny) I heard stories of a great swamp monster
that would wander the woods and swamps of Florida (no not the Clan
Riffster, I mean a real monster), now I even had proof. They claim
he eats bunnies! That he captures young bunnies to make stew from
them. That's enough to scare the eggs out of anybunny. So you can
understand why I was so nervous right? All the bunnies I know are
scared, but somebunny has to do it.
While I was concentrating on crossing the river, I heard a
loud snort behind me. I panicked suddenly destroying my
self-control and impelling myself franticly hopping away as fast as
I could fearing for my life. I ended up in Riverside Park, but by
then my basket was completely empty. I remember this place, it's
where I lost my eggs last year. I must've dropped the eggs while
trying to escape the ape monster. When I calmed down a bit, I
realized it probably was not the Swamp ape, but most likely just a
hog. I tried gathering up the eggs, but they were nowhere in sight.
I'm betting they all fell out in the Orlando Wetlands Park. I
really need some good trackers, like what I had last year to help
me find them once again. You can keep the contents I just need the
shells back for next year.
Thank you all in advance,
I just know you will come through for me,
Peter Georabbit"

So now it is up to us once again to help poor ole Peter
Georabbit find his eggs. Hopefully there will be plenty of young
Geocachers that will be able to enjoy the hunt and reap the
rewards. After all, that is who the eggs were intended for in the
first place.

We will gather at the large pavilion in the Orlando
Wetlands Park at the above cache page coordinates on Saturday,
April 30th 2011 at noon.
Be sure to bring a dish to share with all the hungry hunters. In
fact if you would Post what you plan to bring we can all be sure of
a good variety of dishes. Hot dogs and burgers with the fixings
will be provided, including plates and something to stab it with.
Don't forget to bring your favorite beverage to drink as well (no
alcohol please, this is a family fun oriented event). Sorry the
Rabbit didn't provide any drinks (Rabbits only drink water). To our
out of Sate guest that have decided at the last minute to join us,
contact us with any concerns and we'll try to address them so you
can join in on the fun.
