Placed in a clearcut with a nice
view of lake Whatcom!
I named this viewpoint Long Lake Overlook because
the perspective makes the lake look like a wide, twisty
river!
You can get to this cache by hiking up the
Wickersham Truck Trail logging road. Park at Lake Whatcom Park and
either start right up the gated logging road, or take the Powerline
trail.(They connect with each other) After about 1.3 Miles, you
will come to an obvious junction. Turn right and follow the road
about .3 mi to the cache.
Remember, the Wickersham Truck Trail is strictly for
non-motorized purposes only! If you find that the gate is opened,
don't attempt to drive to the cache, or you could find yourself
locked in!
The cache is a Lock-and-Lock box. Please rehide
well!
