Not far from my home I noticed an ill-placed outdoor fireplace and other structures off to the side of the road. I found it so interesting that I began inquiring about it. This is what I found out about this peculiar setting. During WWII the men were off at war and many left behind feared the invasion of the communist. As you can imagine, those on the coast were even more scared than those that lived inland. John Snook feared an impending attack from the south by the hands of the communists so much that he developed a militia and the military he chose was a little out of the ordinary. Snook's militia army was made up of all women. John Snook who owned the local phone company knew that his militia of females would go "under the radar" of most intelligence sources. He would train the women on the property and would regularly have target practice. The cache is located on the land that was used to raise up Snook's Militia. This is a full size ammo can so be sure to replace the trinkets taken with trinkets of equal or greater value to keep it fun for the little ones.
