The Potato Creek Trail Association was founded
in 2008 to develop and promote a system of trails in the Smethport,
PA area. The system of trails currently supports a variety of
recreational uses, including hiking, mountain biking, equestrian
usage, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing and kayaking, as
well as snowmobiling. The group of volunteers meets monthly to work
on expanding the trail system. All trails are open to the public
through the generosity of private property owners who have approved
the use of the trails for non-motorized recreation. (All trails are
for non-motorized use except for snowmobiles on approved trails).
The group intends to have geocaches in several locations along or
near our trails in order to increase recreational opportunities for
geocache enthusiasts.
