The Lost Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mapperist: I checked on this cache between snowstorms and it appears to be missing. I'm not sure how long it has been absent, however, this is the third or fourth time it has disappeared. That said, it's time to archive this one and free up some geo-realty. Thanks to those who found it and I hope everyone enjoyed the puzzle! I may reincarnate it somewhere else in the future. Happy exploring!

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates...anymore. I had hidden a lock-n-lock container at these coordinates one day and decided to wait until the snow melted before posting the listing. I went back to check on the container at 5:17pm and it was gone. Instead, I found the note below tacked to a tree.

I wasn't sure how to crack the code so I went back to the coordinates to look for any clues. I found a lady out playing with her dog and she was able to describe the suspect in fairly good detail - enough so that a police sketch artist came up with this profile:

She said she saw him out there around 1514hrs but didn't really think anything about it.

So now I have four problems:
  1. I don't know where my cache is
  2. I don't know how to figure out how to find it
  3. I've never seen that guy in my life!
  4. I now suffer from melancholy!

As for the cache itself, I'm not sure what kind of container it is now. It could be my lock-n-lock but I doubt it. It's probably on the smaller side of cache containers. I don't know how it's hidden either. It was supposed to be at the base of a tree, but, again, it's probably not anymore. I hid it in a PITS friendly location but, with this being Kansas, keep a lookout for those when you're searching (unless it's in a parking lot, which it probably isn't!).
Good luck and thanks for taking on this challenge!

To make my situation worse he also left a link to where I can check the coordinates. No help for me! Maybe it'll do you good: You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.
