Located in the Albaicin, in Calle Pages.
“Carmen of the masks” is a XVI-XVII century. The facade
of the house is decorated with two large masks that give name to
the house and bar located on the ground floor, often visited by
artists and singers of the neighborhood.
El Albaicín is a district of Granada, in Andalusia, Spain, that
retains the narrow winding streets of its Medieval Moorish past. It
was declared a world heritage site in 1984, along with the more
famous Alhambra
You can walk across the Calle del Agua to get to Plaza Larga
(usually you can find a market) and El arco de las Pesas

El tipo tradicional de vivienda del Albaicin es el carmen,
compuesto por una vivienda rodeada por un alto muro que la separa
de la calle y que incluye un pequeño huerto o jardín.
La fachada de este carmen del siglo XVI-XVII está adornada con dos
grandes mascarones que dan nombre a la casa y al bar que se
encuentra en la planta baja, frecuentemente visitado por artistas y
cantaores del barrio.
En ella vivió el poeta granadino Pedro Soto de Rojas.
