Geocache Description:

Madness

Whether you bleed red, blue, orange, or some other color, it's time for March Madness, baby! For me, there is nothing more exciting than the men's college basketball conference tournaments followed by the (now expanded) 68 team National Championship tournament. This cache is a unique container located at a facility that hosts it's own basketball leagues and tournaments.

Special Challenge (optional)

If you log this cache before the National Championship tournament begins on March 17, 2011, you are eligible to enter a contest to win a $20 gift card from a local sporting goods store for first place, or a $10 gift card for second. When you post your find electronically, list four teams in your log that you think will make the Final Four. For each win from your four teams throughout the tournament, you get one point. Whoever has the most points after the National Championship game, is the winner. The team seeding will occur on March 13. Picking your teams before seeing the seedings, will make this contest a little more challenging. As a reward, if you log the cache and pick your teams before March 13, you will get three bonus points.

Tie breaker: In the event of a potential tie heading into the final game, I will solicit a total point prediction for the final game from the cachers in the running for the title.

Results: As March Madness progresses, I will post the current standings for all particpants, as a note in the "finds" section of this cache page.

Last year's winners were Jeepstaff and Natcher. Who will be this year's champ?!?

Good Luck!
(to you and your favorite team)
