Aquest caché és el primer que col·loquem el grup PIRATES DEL BAGES.
Per arribar-hi podeu aparcar a N 41°49.7633’ E 1°45.039' (al final del carrer Ignasi Abadal de Súria.
Des d’aquí podeu caminar a través dels horts per un camí asfaltat. Travesseu el riu per un pont sense baranes i seguiu els indicadors “Pla de Reguant”.
Als metres finals els GPS es distorsionen per efectes de la gran estructura metàl·lica que hi ha. Haureu de buscar amb intuïció.
Inicialment hi hem inclòs els següents objectes:

To get there you can park at N 41°49.7633’ E 1°45,039 '(at the end of the street Ignasi Abadal from Súria.
From here you can walk through the gardens following an asphalt road. Cross the river over a bridge without railings and follow the indications "Pla de Reguant”.
EL BOSC DE RIBERA DEL PLA DE REGUANT
Importància del bosc de ribera.
Una de les coses que dóna importància a un espai natural concret és que sigui singular en la seva zona. Per això en una zona mediterrània com la nostra on els cursos d’aigua escassegen i els boscos de ribera gairebé han desaparegut, el Pla de Reguant esdevé gairebé com un oasi. En els nostres boscos de ribera trobem plantes més medioeuropees que mediterrànies ja que tenen sempre aigua a disposició, les arrels arriben fàcilment al freàtic que és molt superficial.
A més, si tenim en compte que el gran incendi de 1994 va afectar gran quantitat de bosc del seu voltant, actualment el bosc de Reguant aixopluga animals que abans tenien el seu hàbitat en els boscos que es van cremar i ara són massa petits, estan regenerant-se, per poder aixoplugar segons quins animals. D’aquí la importància afegida que té en aquests moments.
Aprofitant un meandre
Si ens mirem el Pla de Reguant des d’una zona enlairada, com pot ser des del Pou IV, des del Fusteret o des de Costafreda, podem veure que es troba en una giragonsa o meandre que fa el riu Cardener.
Si el riu hagués seguit recte el seu curs ara tindríem més horta i menys bosc de ribera. El meandre que fa el riu en aquesta zona, provocada per la intervenció de l’home o feta de forma natural, ha afavorit que es formés l’actual bosc de ribera de 19 hectàrees, el més gran de la Catalunya central. Per desgràcia els boscos de ribera s’han anat quedant reduïts a petites franges vora algun curs fluvial.
Espai inundable i dinàmic
La ubicació del pla de Reguant entre el riu i el canal de cal Fusteret fa que, quan hi ha una avinguda, s’inundi i es converteixi quasi totalment en llera de riu. Així tenim que el bosc de ribera té una importància addicional: per una banda alenteix la velocitat de l’aigua, per tant aigües avall la riuada no és tant destructiva; i per l’altra banda fa de filtre, ja que entre els arbres hi deixa gran quantitat de brossa que arrossega la riuada, evitant taps en ponts que pugui trobar posteriorment.
Aguanta les grans avingudes però aquestes el van transformant, emportant-se sòl o aportant sediments. És un bosc realment dinàmic. Això junt amb el fet que els arbres no pateixen secades, fa que la seva fisonomia canviï relativament ràpid.
La biodiversitat
De per sí els boscos de ribera són rics en espècies vegetals i animals. Però el Pla de Reguant, a l’extrem de la serra de Castelltallat i també a mig camí entre el mar i els Pirineus, fa que la seva biodiversitat sigui especialment rica. Per una banda, i a través del riu, tant hi arriben espècies pròpies del Prepirineu com animals que correspondrien estar més a vora del mar. Per l’altra banda, a través de la serra de Castelltallat, hi arriben espècies de flora i de fauna més continentals que no correspondrien estar a vora els cursos de l’aigua.
La diversitat d’espècies vegetals del Pla de Reguant és molt elevada, no és fàcil que en 19 ha de bosc puguem trobar la quantitat d’espècies d’arbres que hi ha en aquest bosc de Reguant —uns 30- i també d’arbusts. Referent a les espècies animals, L’existència del riu per un cantó i el canal per l’altre priva que n’arribin més de l’obaga de Costafreda. No obstant això, trobem una diversitat molt alta d’ocells, a qui no afecten les barreres esmentades.
Espai a protegir i potenciar
Per l’escassetat de boscos de ribera a la Catalunya central, per les grans dimensions que té el Pla de Reguant, per la seva biodiversitat ... fa que aquest bosc de ribera sigui un espai importantíssim que cal preservar i afavorir. A més és un lloc privilegiat per a l’estudi d’espècies vegetals i animals, ja que se n’hi concentren moltes en un espai relativament reduït.
Sens dubte el Pla de Reguant, sigui de titularitat pública o privada, és un espai d’interès públic i per això Súria n’ha d’assegurar la seva perdurabilitat.

Importance of the riparian forest
One of the things that gives importance to a particular natural area is to be unique in its area. So in a Mediterranean area like ours where scarce water courses and riparian forests have nearly disappeared, the Pla de Reguant becomes almost like an oasis. In our woods we find more half-european than mediterranean plants because they always have water available, the roots can easily reach the groundwater, which is very shallow.
Moreover, if we consider that the great fire of 1994 strucked many trees of the surrounding forest, now the Reguant forest shelters animals, that had their habitat un the forests that were burned and are now too small, are regenerating itself, to shelter animals. Hence the additional importance nowadays.
Taking a meander
If we look at the Reguant plain from an elevated area, for example from Well IV from Fusteret or from Costafreda we can see that it is in a twisting of the river Cardener.
If the river had continued straight on his course now we would have more vegetables and less riparian forest. The meandering river in this area is caused by the intervention of man made or naturally formed which has favored the current riparian forest of 19 hectares, the largest in central Catalonia. Unfortunately the woods have been reduced to being a small river edge stripes.
Flooded area and dynamic
The location plain Reguant between the river and canal of cal Fusteret ago, when there is a flood, and becomes almost completely flooded in the river bed. Thus we have the riparian forest has an additional significance: first it slows the speed of water downstream so the flood is not so destructive, and the other side it acts as a filter, because the trees leave lots of spam that plague the flood, preventing closures on bridges that can be found later.
It holds the large floods, but these transformed it, taking soil or sediment contributing. It's a really dynamic forest. That and the fact that trees do not suffer droughts, makes its appearance changes relatively quickly.
Biodiversity
For whether the woods are rich in plant and animal species. But the Reguant plain, tip of the mountain range and midway between the sea and the Pyrenees, making it particularly rich biodiversity. On one hand, and across the river, both arriving and animal species native of the Pyrenean foothills which correspond more to be sea. On the other hand, through mountains Castelltallat, arriving species of flora and fauna that do not correspond to be in the continental edge of the water courses.
The diversity of plant species Reguant Plan is very high, it is not easy in 19 ha of forest we find the number of tree species that are regulated in this forest about 30 - and also shrubs . Among the animal species, the existence of the river on one side and the other channel to arrive, most of which deprives the shade of Costafreda. However, we find a high diversity of birds, who do not affect the barriers.
Area to protect and enhance
For the lack of riparian forests in central Catalonia, for the large Reguant Plan for biodiversity ... makes this riparian forest an important area that is needed to preserve and promote. It is also a privileged place for the study of plant and animal species, since there are many concentrated in a relatively small space.
Undoubtedly the Reguant Plain , whether publicly or privately owned, is a public interest and therefore Suria has to ensure its durability.
