Geocache Description:

Plastic container filled with children's trinkets. Located on our private property so we have permission to place cache here.

This cache is dedicated to my grandma and grandpa, Pauline and Irvin Henschen. This farm belonged to them. My grandfather was born and spent his entire 85 year life on this farm. The farm still belongs to our family and has been in our family for over 150 years. I named this cache Grandma's Bread Box because my grandma made homemade bread once or twice a week. She never had store-bought bread. What a treat for us! I hope you enjoy the great views of the Ohio River (notice the island) and the surrounding hillsides. Another interesting tidbit about this area occurred on April 13, 1977. Somewhere on Henschen Road between my grandparent's house and SR56, a family reported that they sighted "Bigfoot"! It made the news. You can read the story about it on The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization's website below. Enjoy!
