Geocache Description:

While you are seeking the cache, take a look around this new mitigation pond and explore nature - and potential other caching sites. You may "reach" the same conclusion as KALAJA, this pond area needs help. BYOP.

Wetland mitigation areas are the developers’ payback for impacting natural wetlands. Wetland mitigation areas are pockets of man-made wetlands that developers are required to create through digging, grading and the planting of specific flora. These artificially created wetlands are aimed at providing new habitat to replace that which they’ve disturbed or destroyed. After their creation, these mitigation areas are monitored by agencies such as SWFWMD and the Army Corps of Engineers. They’re monitored until they can thrive on their own. This one looks like it needs help!
