under 2.5 miles from the BuShay gate, but you will be traversing a short uphill battle and a potential Bushwhack to GZ. You will need some of the Waypoints I have included to make the trek more tolerable. Once at location you will be standing at what I consider Lake mendos most magnificent hidden treasure. ***You will approach from above (The S.E side), so make sure you dont decend too soon to the...ASCENTION TO DOWNFALL!!! ;)
Essentially you will be in search of the Black Diamond... a valuable stone that was cut from the largest and darkest black diamond known to man. To reach it wont be easy, but the reward will be great!
I discovered this location about 6 years ago with Team Barra, who brought me here. Every time I have come back, I have had to re-locate a route and make my way through the canyons and hillsides as it all looks as familiar as the next.
Although I think a letterbox type hide would be a more fruitful hunt, id really like you to find it, so coords directly to GZ is what you get, hope you make the absolute best out of the hunt for this one...your gonna like it! Please make a point to visit this location just after the rains... waaaaay better that way :)
I have provided one waypoint as reference at GZ, you can use it to help locate the final resting place of the Black Diamond. You can use iit as a direct reference to the cache as its location is highly apparent when you find it.
I have included a 4 1/2 star terrain rating, please be known that this is a 4 1/2 star rating for a reason. You dont need ropes, you just need to have a sure foot and be physically stable~ With that said... GO GET IT! oh yeah...Till Next Time~ CACHE HARD and CACHE ON!
