This cache is dedicated to a novel by one of our favourite
authors,Roald Dahl. This one was a particular favourite of ours and
our children. A chapter was read every night and we looked forward
to the night time instalment as much as they did. It remains a firm
favourite to this day.
The story is about Matilda, a lovely little girl, who is a
genius with special powers and a wonderful teacher vs. the worst
parents imaginable and an even worse headmistress, the terrifying
Miss Trenchbull.
This cache is one of the Novel Cache Series. The series includes
a variety of cache sizes, some suitable for TB drops. Some of the
cache containers are themed to the books and some are ordinary
caches. The terrain in places was very muddy when set in February
and unfortunately some of it involves a walk on the road.
Good parking for the series is at the Forestry Commission pay
