Zuckerbaron Traditional Cache
SumSum22: Meine lieben Cachefreunde,
hier wird sogar der Wald renoviert! Lustig!!! oder auch nicht.
Der Eigentümer des Grundstück wird hier das alte Hippodrom wieder aufbauen, d.h. das Gelände wird wohl demnächst eingezäunt. Echt schade.
Wir sehen uns im Herbst wieder! Wenn das reicht.

Der Cache liegt auf frei zugänglichem Gelände, das Gebäude, sowie das Grundstück müssen nicht betreten werden. BITTE achtet auf die Privatsphäre des Barons!
Ihr sucht einen kleinen Small (0,5Liter)
Der Cache bietet Platz für kleinere Gegenstände wie TB´s und so.
Bitte seid umsichtig und hinterlasst alles wieder so wie vorgefunden.
Im Cache befindet sich:
Logbuch und ein kleines
Präsent für den FirstFinder,
kleine Objekte zum tauschen.
Die Jacobs-Villa wurde 1842, im Stil einer italienischen Turmvilla errichtet und nach dem Zuckerfabrikanten Ludwig (von) Jacobs benannt.
1886 wurde die Villa an den Prinzen Alexander von Preußen vermietet und deshalb auch „Villa Alexander“ genannt.
1896 kaufte dann Kaiser Wilhelm II die Villa.
Die Villa war nach 1945 von den sowjetischen Besatzungstruppen für einen Kindergarten genutzt worden.
Mit Beginn der 1970 Jahre dem Verfall überlassen, 1979 der Denkmalschutz aufgehoben. Die Ruine wurde nach einem Brand 1981 abgerissen.
Pläne zum Wiederaufbau scheiterten zunächst an der Frage des öffentlichen Zugangs zum Ufer des Jungfernsees.
Nun wurde die Villa annähernd originalgerecht wiederhergestellt. Dies betrifft die äußere Gestalt aus asymmetrisch zusammengefügten kubischen Baukörpern mit dem weithin sichtbaren Turm „in alter Form und Materialität“ ebenso wie die Raumstruktur im Inneren. Sie besteht aus Vorräumen, Salon, Speisesaal und angesetztem Küchentrakt im Erdgeschoss. Die obere Etage aus Privat- und Schlafräumen und einem Billardzimmer.
Eine Bestandsaufnahme aus dem Jahr 1879 wird die Grundlage für die Wiederherstellung des Parks bilden, für den Lenné Entwürfe geliefert hatte. Hier wurden inzwischen sämtliche 1000 Bäume in einem Kataster erfasst. Ein Parkpflegewerk ist in Arbeit.
Neu erstehen sollen der nach dem Vorbild englischer Landschaftsgärten gestaltete Teil mit der Zufahrtsallee, der große Obstgarten und die früher mit Wein bepflanzte Terrassierung. Sie folgt den Rändern der ehemaligen Lehmgrube, die hier seit dem 17. Jahrhundert bestand.

The Cache offers space for small objects like TB’s or so.

In the Cache is:

and little objects to trade.
The Jacobs-Villa was build 1842 in shape of an italian tower-mansion and is named after the sugar-factory owner Ludwig (von) Jacobs.
1886 was the villa rented to the prince Alexander of Prussia and therefore also named “Villa Alexander”.
1896 bought emperor Wilhelm the 2nd the mansion.
After 1945, the Soviet occupying troops, who owned the property at that time used the villa as a kindergarden.
With the begin of the 70’s, the mansion was completely dilapidated and therefore suspended by the protection of historical buildings. The ruin was demolished after a fire in 1981.
The first plans for reconstructing the building failed because of the open access to the waterfront of the Jungfernsee (translated Virgins Lake).
Today the Villa is completely reconstructed.
The structure and design is roughly back to the original. The exterior is based on asymmetrical assembled cubic structures and the apparent tower “in the old shape and material”.
The interior is composed of vestibules, a saloon, a dining hall and the assembled kitchen-section in the first floor. The second floor is composed of private- and bedrooms and a pooltable-room.
A original blueprint of the court garden from 1879 will be the basis for a reconstruction of the park for which Lenné had provided designs.
By now they have been planting up to a thousand trees and a gardener-service is at work 24/7.
Resurrected will be the main part in style of english landscaped gardens with the main ally, the orchard and the terrace which used to be covered with wine.
The terrace is along the edge of the loam pit, which exist since the 17th century.
