4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This cache is named after Epping Heights School, just nearby. Its a bit of a puzzle, and perhaps a chance for you to learn a bit about yourself.

Epping Heights School was home to the three younger glenferns for quite a few years before they grew up and became mature young people. In honour of this great school, we have designed this cache to be a learning experience for the cacher.

What kind of cacher are you?
Are you a risk-taker or risk-averse?
Do you like the thrill of the chase or the hunt for the treasure at the end?
Are you patient and methodical or do you go for the full frontal attack?

In this cache you have 3 options;
A is for the risk taker, hunter, full frontal cacher
C is for the risk averse, chaser, patient cacher
B is for those who like an each way bet.

You can do it alone, and pick your option; or as a team of three with one option per person, and race to see who gets there first.

Option A:
The cache is located within 10m of the bridge structure located at the main listing coordinates. This means on, under or next to the bridge, north or south side. Go for it!

Option B:
This requires a bit of walking, but you will at least know which side of the bridge to search. You can then return to the bridge and hunt around
Go to WY2. Is there a tree fern there? If so, the cache is on the northern side of the bridge. If no tree fern, its on the southern (school) side.

Option C:
This requires more walking but you will be rewarded with the exact coordinates of the cache. You don't need WY2 for this option.
At WY3, how many planks are there on one seat? How many planks are there on the table? Add these two to get (w).
At WY4, how many swings are there to swing on? This is (x).
At WY5, there is a sign with ONE phone number on it. The phone number is in the format nnnn ynnz. This gives you (y) and (z).
