Pony Express Trail riders 13 Robert Sanders Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

BlueRajah: Hello SuperMot

The cache appears to be missing or under the weather. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the cache owner the opportunity to check on the cache, and repair it, if necessary. If the owner feels they will not be able to repair this in a timely manner (i.e., three weeks) it may need to be archived. This will keep the cache from continually showing up in search lists. If there is no response stating what the owner intends to do on the cache page in the next few weeks ( 21 Days ) the cache may be archived.

If you do fix the cache, please post a Owner Maintenance log, then an enable log to allow people to start searching for it again.

Thank you,
BlueRajah

Geocache Description:

Pony Express Riders

Approximately 80 young riders were in use at any one time. In addition,
some 400 other employees included station keepers, stock tenders and route superintendents. Riders were paid $100 to $125 per month.
Dozens of applicants vied for jobs, eager to accept the death defying
rigors they would soon experience. Mark Twain, who saw the Pony Express in action first hand, described the riders as: "... usually a little bit of a man". Though small in stature, their untarnished record proved them to possess the hearts of lions. History would record that they were among the most durable horsemen to ever straddle a saddle.
