This is the second cache we have placed to showcase beautiful Francis Lake. We have hidden it further away from the lake as to avoid muggles but please take the time to walk down the access and take in the views. BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN ACTIVE LOGGING ROAD AND MANY LOGGING TRUCKS TRAVEL VERY FAST UPON IT- PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY. Mr. Pawz lived about 2 miles from here when he was growing up. The area housed a very active logging community. Many loggers and thier families lived here. There were family homes, bunk houses, a small resteraunt and even a store. The locals referred to Francis Lake as Second Lake. GZ was considered the boat launch for the "Franklin River Yacht Club". It is a great camping and fishing spot. Across the lake from the cache site is a really nice beach area where we camped shortly after we met. Lots of good memories here. Hope you enjoy the spot! The terrain rating is a 3 because the drive from town is long, dusty and very bumpy. Once at gz the terrain is a 1.5.
