Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the property of The Beehive Community Center with permission of the land owner.

The phrase "the bee's knees", meaning "the height of excellence", became popular in the U.S. in the 1920s. Stories in circulation about the phrase's origin include: "b's and e's", short for "be-alls and end-alls".

The nearby building, and inspiration for this cache's name, was constructed in the late 1920's and served as schoolhouse until the late 1930's. It sat vacant until it was put up for sale in the late 1940's. At that time, local residents obtained a mortgage to purchase and save the building. It has served as a placed for nearby residents to gather ever since.

Original cache contents include small childrens toys and two Buffalo Nickels, one each for the First and Second to find.

Good luck and have fun!
