This is our first cache!
We decided to place it near a place we knew as children, namely Lapworth Church in Warwickshire.
Its a short walk over some fields using a little known public footpath which starts near the entrance to the carpark, behind the historic church.
It is a good idea to park behind the church in the carpark of the 'old school' (Tapster Lane).
From the carpark entrance take the public footpath over the fields. During the walk you will need to pass through the cricket ground. Watch out for flying balls in the summer months and keep to the edge of the pitch during games, unless you intend to participate!
This is the route that the children of the old school used to walk to and from school. Many of the Victorian children attending the school worked in the fields and gathered hay during summer months, often having many days off school to do so. In the 1980s the children of the school walked this path to the cricket ground for their annual sports day. The school has now moved to Station Lane.
The cache is a medium sized lock and lock tub containing:
Travel Bug (TB194A9)
Geocoin (TB2V8WP)
Fly-in-a-cube
Foot creme
Hair slide

Sparkly pencil
