GeoCrater: Good morning,
Unfortunately I am archiving this cache as the land manager has contacted us and informed us this cache does not comply with the current Idaho Power Company Geocaching Guidelines, enacted as of 7/31/15.
Idaho Power Company (IPC) provides geocaching opportunities on IPC lands to provide interesting facts
and educational opportunities related to hydropower, history, geology, and the natural environment.
In order to meet Groundspeak Inc. requirements and maintain community standards related to cache
siting, IPC has established the following guidelines for private geocaching on IPC owned lands:
No private geocache may be sited on IPC owned property without prior IPC authorization.
Contact geocaching@idahopower.com prior to installing or placing a geocache. Please note that
Geocaching.com will not authorize new geocaches on private lands without proof of landowner
The Fundamental Placement Guidelines provided by Groundspeak Inc. and all local laws and
documented land management policies also govern the physical location of any geocache placed
with permission on IPC lands. Prior to placing and submitting geocaches, please read the
guidelines and the Regional Geocaching Policies Wiki provided at
https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.
As this cache did not have permission granted prior to placement, I have (at their request) archived this cache. Please remove the container at your earliest convenience.
Thanks for understanding.
