This cache is hidden along the Northwestern Trail which originates at the Ripon Public Library parking lot and extends 2.8 miles from Pacific Street in the City of Ripon to County PP at the western limit of Fond du Lac County. This abandoned right-of-way stretches along the packed gravel base roadbed of the former Chicago and Northwestern Railway and is now a recreational trail ideal for hikers, bikers, and cross-country skiers. Nearly the entire route is bordered with dense tree and shrub growth and you can expect to experience a variety of wildlife along the way. You will be looking for a camoed matchstick container with a log only, so be sure to BYOP.
