Garlund was a lush, largely unexplored planet in a distant galaxy, ruled by winged human-like creatures called Kyrie. The Kyrie lived in relative peace for thousands of years. Then the wellsprings were discovered, and everything changed.
As the Kyrie drank they gained powers from the wellsprings, and soon became a species of super-kyrie called Valkyrie. But along with their powers came strange visions of armies at war, armies made up of creatures from other epochs, other worlds. And these armies were all after the same thing - these mysterious fountains of youth, power and immortality. Soon, the Valkyrie realized that these visions were becoming reality, and as armies began to mysteriously appear in Garlund they sought to control these warriors and the wellsprings. Jandar the wise sought to cap the springs so they would no longer flow. Utgar the feared, his younger brother, was determined to ensure he had unlimited access. And so these Fountains were to become the ultimate plunder in a battle across time and space. Your quest is to solve the mystery and cap the source restoring order to Garlund.
Quest 5: Fields of Valor
Utgar is closer now. He can almost smell the springs. He knows now the time is right to release the power of Munchenfox whose army of vampires, zombies and skeletons controls most of Pacifica through deception and misdirection. In Garlund, Munchenfox accompanied by his Pacifica consorts Erukterse, grows stronger with each victory, devouring the souls of all in their path. To make matters worse, Munchenfox has already drunk the waters of the wellsprings, and yearns for more. Jandar sends the Reader of Trails with Ghoulfers and the Morro warriors of Salinars to stem the tide, while he continues to build his last defense. The screams from the skirmish are heard throughout Carmulla and the new recruits shudder in their boots. But they must go on.
