Geocache Description:

Welcome to Portman Park, a small and not well visited City of Columbus park. The park was dedicated May 27, 1988 in honor of Maurey Portman who was a councilman for many years in Columbus.

This will be a short hike from the parking lot on a paved path. You will find the cache hidden about 10 feet in the woods from the edge of the grass so you can expect a little bushwhacking. You are looking for a small camouflaged plastic lock and lock container in a typical hiding spot. Bring the family; mine helped me fill the container with some kid friendly swag. PS don't forget to bring your own pen.

This is my first hide and hopefully more will follow.

CONGRATS to MADCRABBER for FTF, in the rain even!!!

For those of you playing RPG: Nebit the Gnome:

The Spirit of the Woods appears and thanks you for fighting the monster herein. Her hands begin to glow with a bluish hue. As it grows tiny tendrils make there way toward you until you are engulfed by this glow. To show her appreciation she tells you that she has put an Aura of Protection on you.

This is a special magical item: An Aura of Protection. This Aura may be used to give you a +1 on your roll to run away. This Aura will protect you for the next 3 encounters and then it will be gone.
