Drunkin Monkeys: Removed this cache today. Too bad that the new requirements for Westmoreland County Parks are so prohibitive this was a nice spot for a cache!

You can thank Westmoreland County Parks & Recreation for the removal of this cache as they instituted ridiculous rules & regulations, but refused to respond to the email they requested us to respond to concerning permits and didn't give anyone a chance to request permits because they failed to respond.

It's a shame, this cache brought well over 100 people into the park that would have never known about it.

Such a shame. WCPR has left a sour taste in our mouths.

Thanks you Rick for your assistance in removing these being we weren't given much time by WCPR to do so!

Geocache Description:

~THE RIVER WATCHER~

A lonely man sits along the river watching as the water flows. He sees the geese and sees the ducks as they float on down the road. Nobody ever sees him as he is just sitting there. He sees you though, as you bring your fishing pole and your lures... you set up your chair and your cooler along side.

The River watcher gives you a smile, but you do not see. This old man means nothing to me. As the day grows to night and you grow tired, the river watcher just stays there. You pack up your gear, your chair , your cooler... but he just stays there. As you get up to leave you hear a voice... "You did good today son, come back tomorrow and sit with me again.." but you just ignore this voice.

When you go home your loved one sees your score. You tell them of the day and the voice that you heard. "Did you talk back?" your loved one questions... "No, I thought it was a voice in my head."

The next day you go back and set up your gear, but today you had a second chair. In your cooler enough made for two. For today your are fishing and the river watcher's with you. He smiles and says thanks.
