Hey there, have you ever wanted to
walk in the footsteps of the undead, well this series of caches
will offer you that opportunity. On March 26th, 2011 A group of
zombies and perhaps even the odd zombie hunter will converge on
this trail and do a walk of the undead (zombie walk), up and down
this trail looking for victims. Actually we'll be getting together
to have some fun, but you get the point.
This particular series of caches follows a 2.5 kilometer, flat,
abandoned rail bed. The caches are all within 20 feet or so of the
trail as there are posted "no trespassing" signs on the fence line.
This means that if you're going past the fence, you've gone too
far. The caches are all micros (film canisters or matchstick
holders) located in various hiding spots along the trail.
The trail is flat, but the terrain around it varies. The trail may
also provide differing challenges throughout the year as mud,
standing water, etc provide for extra excitement. My only
suggestion is that you be prepared for anything. The caches are all
fairly easy hides, but some may prove challenging.
My goal here is to provide you, the cacher with a nice stroll down
a great little path and throw in some caches as well. If you're
coming for the event, well then you'll hopefully be dressed as a
zombie and the excitement, will be even greater.
I would
ask that nobody searches/finds, nor logs these caches prior to
March 26th, 2011 @ 9:30 am.
