How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is a micro container placed at the river mouth of the River Graveney.

The River Graveney is one of London's "lost" rivers, for the most part this river is underground in man-made channels.

It starts in Thornton Heath as the Norbury Brook then becomes the River Graveney and joins the Wandle here For part of its length it forms the boundary between the London Boroughs of Croydon and Lambeth and, further downstream, the border between Merton and Wandsworth - from 1900 to 1963 the official border between Surrey and London.

Although the path way running by the cache is accessible to wheelchairs users, you may need a little help with the retrieval of the cache.

The cache itself is now a magnetic keysafe as the original small container went missing and the camoflauge is missing.
