Peter Cottontail Traditional Cache

Peter Cottontail is well known amongst children and the adults who
are kids at heart. :) So, where does he live the rest of the year?
This hike has a little bit of hill to it at the beginning. The easiest route would be from #1 parking coord. Follow the trail to the top of the hill, then find the sign for Mt. Ives 9 trail. From #2 parking, across the road is the same trail, but it will take a little longer from this point. Cache is off the trail a little, but bushwacking should be minimal.
My son and caching partner, Bmaille,and I go hiking around Great Seal quite a bit throughout the year. On one of our hiking
trips, we ran across a strange sight! We used our stealth
technique, perfected from geocaching of course, and snuck up on the living area of none other than Peter Cottontail himself!!!
We weren't as stealthy as we thought, because he spotted us fairly quickly, and instead of running away, he stayed and chatted us up for a bit. He shared some sugary snacks with us and told us all sorts of interesting stories involving chocolate, marshmallows and eggs. We in turn shared some of our more interesting geocaching stories. He was not only entertained, but also interested in our hobby. In order to share the joy of his favorite Holiday throughout the year, he agreed to help us with this cache. He doesn't mind folks visiting here, as this is only one of his many summer homes.
Be sure to use stealth as you approach the GZ...You may catch a
glimpse of Mr. Cottontail hanging around!
Remember, You have to sign the log to get credit for Mr. Cottontails cache, but he hasn't made this easy for you. Be sure to give the unusual container a small spin to lock it back together when reassembling.
