St Nicholas Church: Kilmersdon Road, Radstock.
The Cache can be accessed either cross-country on foot/cycle from the West or by road with the last part of the journey on foot from the East.
The Cache contains the log only, so you will need your own scribe.
The founding of St Nicholas Church is recorded around the turn of the first Millennium, with its Church being built soon after.
St. Nicholas Church, according to Kelly's Directory, was rebuilt in 1879, and is in the Perpendicular style.
It consists of chancel, organ chamber, and nave of five bays, north aisle, south porch, and an embattled western tower containing five bells.
In the interior wall of the porch is a Crucifix, and in a similar niche outside is a group of the Virgin and Child, both being much mutilated; and there is a fine Norman font, which was removed from a neighbouring farm, where it had been used as a cattle trough.
St Nicholas Church is grade II listed.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
Congratulations to Radstockcacher and carver cachers on their joint FTF.
