Van Dusen Overlook Traditional Cache
scubakings: It's with sadness that I am archiving this one. I've been informed that there are now a plethora of no trespassing signs and that the land owner doesn't want people at the overlook. It's a pretty spot but I don't want to encourage trespassing.

This cache is located at the overlook in the Van Dusen Preserve off West Mountain Road in Queensbury.
It's been a while since most of you have been here for a cache so I thought it was time to come back.
Leaving the trailhead, and heading counterclock-wise at the first trail junction, it was a 2.7 mile round trip.
Look for the double red trail markers on the tree and head up the mountain here.
The cache is in an obvious spot, just wanted to get you up here to appreciate the view.
Bring a lunch and stay awhile!
4/7/11 Update: took a hike up here with JoeB today to check out the missing micros situation. Seems some critter had made off with both the original and replacement micros and had carried them 12' off the ground. Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it but there were both micros, side by side.
So I've replaced it with a regular in hopes that whatever made off with the micros won't be able to carry the regular!
