Lough inshagh is part of glenveagh national park, the lough itself would be rarely seen by the tourists who frequent this place
to get to the cache you have two options , you can approach from glenveagh national park, this opiton would be quite a long walk as you would have to walk from carpark and would probably take at minimum 2 hour return trip. The other option would be to approach from gartan side, drive towards st columbkilles birthplace, there is a set of gates here, it is possible to drive up a good bit to cut the distance to the cache to about 20 minutes otherwise from carpark at bottom again would take about 1.5 to 2 hours return trip. It mostly track for the lead into the cache but the last 5- 10 minute walk down to lake itself is cross country and can be quite boggy so walking boots advisable.
cache is small yellow sports holder with a little room for some slim swappables, there is small first to find prize in it too.
