CONGRATULATIONS TO goobiegoo on the FTF
A few people have inquired as to the history of this Pago Trail.
This trail used to be part of the Canadian Northern Railroad. If you park on Pago Road you can see the original embankment made for the bridge that crossed the Clarence Creek. Part of the old railroad is now used for the Ontario Snowmobile trails and some are just used for walking and biking during the winter.
This cache looks out onto the Ottawa River. If you walk along the trail starting from either of the parking locations you will end up at a large sinkhole. Don't worry you can still walk around it but be careful. You should make your attempt on either side of the sinkhole. Follow the stream and you should end up at the cache. RUBBER BOOTS are probably required in the spring/fall months of the year or a good hiking boot. During the winter you WILL need high boots of some kind or a snowshoe. The land next to the Ottawa River is mostly Crown Land including were the cache is located. If you want bring a fishing rod and see if any fish will bite.
When the cache was first put out it contained:

- Pebble from Pebble beach in Marathon, Ontario
- Fridge Magnet
- A small Frog bean baby

Quelques personnes ont demandé à l'histoire de ce sentier Pago.
Ce sentier permet de faire partie du chemin de fer Canadien du Nord. Si vous vous garez sur Pago Road vous pouvez voir la digue d'origine fait pour le pont qui traverse le ruisseau Clarence. Une partie de l'ancienne voie ferrée est maintenant utilisé pour les sentiers de motoneige de l'Ontario et certains sont tout simplement utilisée pour la marche et le vélo pendant l'hiver.
Ce cache donne sur la rivière des Outaouais. Si vous marchez le long du sentier à partir de l'un des emplacements de stationnement vous allez vous retrouver dans un gouffre large. Ne vous inquiétez pas vous pouvez toujours faire le tour mais soyez prudent. Vous devriez faire votre tentative de chaque côté de la doline. Suivez les cours d'eau et vous devriez vous retrouver à la cache. Bottes de caoutchouc sont probablement nécessaires au printemps mois ou à l'automne de l'année ou une botte de randonnée bonne. Au cours de l'hiver, vous aurez besoin de bottes d'un genre ou une raquette. La terre à côté de la rivière des Outaouais est principalement terres de la Couronne, y compris ont été le cache se trouve. Si vous voulez mettre une canne à pêche et de voir si le poisson va mordre.
