I doubt they do much the other 3 seasons either. I don't recommend this with snow on the road and it's a little slick and muddy after heavy rain. Despite this, if you're careful, come out in good weather, drive slow and miss the bigger potholes, the average car can get through with no problems.
I've driven by this spot many times and always wanted to put a cache here. The container is my twist on an idea most of you have seen by now. After some damage I'll add this hint - you don't need to rip the top off.
In case the trees cause some bounce, this little quote from Monty Python should narrow down the search area - Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.
