Geocache Description:

A man by the name of Tennessee Ernie Ford once sang a song that included the lyrics:

You load sixteen tons, what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt.
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go -
I owe my soul to the company store.

Good friends of mine, Barbara and Sam, better known as Smiling in Acworth in some circles, are rapidly approaching their 16,000th geocache.

You recall how it felt to find number 16. Great, right? You actually were starting to find some geocaches and it was fun. By the time you reached 160, you pretty much knew what you were doing and generally had more success than failure when on the geocaching trail. I cannot speak to 1600 though I'm headed in that direction after 4 years of geocaching.

Sam and Barbara reached 14,000 about the same time I reached 1400. They got their 15,000th cache before I got my 1500th. They found 1000 in less time than it took me to locate 100. That's some kind of geocaching!

Now imagine finding 16,000 of the little treasures we all seek so desperately. Wow. That's incredible. What does it bring you? Probably 1600 PAF's in your phone, not for you to call but for folks who are thrilled to call you to ask for your help and expertise. Are you tired of caching after 16,000 caches? Not one bit as the amazing SIA team demonstrates on a daily basis for years now.

Each of us in the general Acworth geocaching vicinity has been enriched by knowing Smiling in Acworth and receiving their friendship and guidance. I would say we're in debt to them Kudos to them both for this milestone!!!

Congratulations to First to Find: FreeBird65 !!!
