Tihaka Blow-holes. brisk 20 min walk to get to location
To celebrate the super moon on the 20th march we decided that we would take a excursion around to the blow holes to see them in action. They are situated on the large flat rock on the right hand side of the bay in the center of the large flat rock so be sure to head down and check them out, just don't get wet. To get here, there is a goat track from the end of Tihaka beach. You will not need to climb over any fences, how ever there is one spot where there was once a fence so beware of the barbed wire. Just follow the fence line.
When we were descending the hill miss 8 year old got over excited, lost her footing and ended up rolling down the hill in a little ball. Lucky for us there was no injury's. At top of track there is a sign saying:
No Dogs, Please keep to beach /coast. Go quietly do not disturb stock. No access during lambing 10th September to 1st November.
