Geocache Description:

St Luke's Church in Church Road (then known as Holmesdale Road), South Park, Reigate, was inaugurated on 30 January 1871 replacing a chapel of ease. The parish of St Luke's, Reigate, was created from St Mary Magdalene, Reigate, in the same year.
A new aisle was opened in the church on 1 December 1882 and a brick and glass extension was added to the west end in 1986. St Luke's Vicarage was situated on the corner of North Road and Sandcross Lane but has since been demolished to make way for several new houses on the site.
The conventional district of St Peter's, Doversgreen, was created within the parish. In September 2005, the two churches were in the process of amalgamating.
St Luke's, Reigate, National Schools, were established in 1870, in Allingham Road and included a Mixed School and an Infants' School. The school's 16th annual report of 1890, however, describes the Boys' School and the Girls' School as being two establishments as opposed to the earlier Mixed School.
