Very short hike behind a church.
Congrats to Zagz on your first FTF!!! :)
The cache is located along the "Prayer Path" at St. George's Church in Clifton Park, NY. The terrain is not very difficult, although it is not always well groomed. The trails are generally cleaned up once per year in the springtime. The trails are loosely defined by mulch, and there may be maps available in the small box at the trail entrance. The area is a nice wooded part of the church's property. This area may be in use by someone who is praying or meditating, so please be respectful of others that may be using the space. Along the path are several numbered "rooms" with large stones that serve as benches.
Parking is available in the church parking lot. Once you enter the parking lot from Rt. 146, there are spaces behind the far left of the building. The trail entrance area should be obvious.
Please do not attempt this cache at night. The trail entrance is very near the rectory (priest's home), and he can be suspicious of random cars at the church late at night. Sunday mornings are also not recommended.
During the winter and spring, you will probably get wet! Waterproof boots are highly recommended, and during the winter snowshoes are optional (the snow tends to gather in the low areas, it can be knee deep or deeper)
The cache is a bison tube container. If you are "vertically challenged", I would suggest bringing a friend. Bring a writing implement, there is not one in the cache. PLEASE PLEASE return the cache to it's EXACT location- otherwise this cache does not have the intended difficulty.
The hint on this cache is very cerebral. I have a tendency to overthink the hints when I am caching, so I left a hint that needs a little overthinking to figure out.
