Geocache Description:

Brentnalls Beach

Welcome to my 40th cache hide...
This cache forms part of a series of caches along the Murray River (Victorian Side) which run from Tocumwal to Cobram including the Cobram Regional Park caches and existing caches in have in on the Victorian Side of the Murray River. A complete list will be ammended to the cache pages when they are complete. There will be a puzzle cache at the end details TBA.

I found this beach when searching for another beach named "Green's Beach". I sort of found Green's beach, or what is left of it. The recent floods have turned it into a mud flat..... So i found this one instead. I have no photo of it, as i forgot to take one. It is a beautiful place with a small sandy beach.

There are tracks leading to the beach, however, the terrain rating reflects the mud and ditches you will need to go through to get to it. A 4WD is recommended, or at the very minimum a "Soft Roader" but i don't know how you will go in that. If you take a 2WD, go as far as you can, then you can walk. I don't know how far, will depend on the track condition at the time.

You can camp all through this area, which forms part of the "River Murray Reserve". On your way to the cache, you will pass a lagoon called "The Duckhole" this should be to your left if you are on the right track.

The container is a 700ml fruit container. I find these to be very waterproof, and i have lost a lot of faith in Sistema's lately, just due to some water leakage into them.

That's about it folks, hope you have a bit of fun in the area. As always in the Australian bush, LOOK OUT FOR SNAKES AND SPIDERS. Also with this one and the poor condition of the tracks after recent rains, beware of getting bogged...
