How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The Cache is located next to the Canal Separating the Yas Island with the Jubail Island on the Yas Island side. Its an area full of Mangroves and good fishing Spots. So you may want to bring a fishing rod along if you are into such a thing.

Although its very close to the Highway don't be tempted to stop on the highway and climb down to the cache location. You can approach the spot with any car type (see my detailed instructions further on) but you will generally feel more comfortable on a 4wd which will also enable you to enjoy the area much more.

In order to get to the cache we recommend that you follow the following route as being the most scenic one also. Get on the Yas Island. A good exit point from the main road to the small off road part of the route is the traffic lights junction on:

Go through the space between the barriers and turn left and around the Green Patch from the left side. You will soon find the old asphalt road used before the new highway was built. Just drive down that road towards the cache and enjoy the mangroves and the water on your left side. Shortly you will arrive next to the spot. You may leave your car to the asphalt and walk 300m to the spot or you can drive there if you feel ok with it. The cache is right next to the water.
