9 Pillars Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Geocache Description:

The 9 Pillars cache is located in the Ray Roberts State Park in the Isle du Bois unit. It is easily approached using paved trails from the Hawthorne parking area.

This cache is in a small drybox covered with camo tape. It has a log and pencil and its initial contents were a coin, knot tying tip card and the Arrow of Light Pin travel bug. The cache is off of one of the paved trails at the base of a cluster of trees. There are some thorn bushes in the area and some poison ivy has been spotted, but none near these trees at this time.

This cache was developed and placed by Boy Scout troop 404 based in Plano, TX. We are an active camping troop who strives to make areas where we camp better than when we arrived by practicing "leave no trace" and "cache in, trash out.". Please visit out website for more information about us: (visit link)

Congrats to ShortyBond and Native_Texan for FTF!

A geocache permit was submitted to TPWD on 5/15/2013.
