Beware of golf balls (traditional) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.
Many thanks,
DalesmanX

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Small tub hidden among tree's next to a footpath that circumnavigates Blyth Golf Course.

A public footpath circles the edge of Blyth Golf course, it is popular with dog walkers and cyclists alike.

Cache is a small sandwich box hidden under a mos covered grey brick/block next to the base of a tree.

There is a railway to one side of the footpath, which is fenced off with high metal security fencing, and the golf course beyond the tree's and scrub to the other, you do not need to enter either to retrieve the cache.

Reasonably wheelchair accessible, though the track is a bit rough in places, however cache will need another to retrieve it as it is set among trees.

*edit* - Been out to check this one as it's been there quite some time. A bit of water has gotten in and the log book is wet - I've been back out now and replaced the box with a slightly larger one, same location. New log book added with a pencil (please bring a sharpener/pen knife and sharpen as needed) log book is now in a folded zip-lock back to try and help keep it dry - please make sure it's sealed and folded when you place it back in the box. Have added a nice new pair of walking/Dr Marten yellow laces - nothing worse on a long walk than a broken lace! All existing content transferred to the new box. Enjoy!!
