East Bay River Boat/Kayak required You do not need to exit
watercraft to retrieve this cache. This is a fishing tackle
exchange cache. Also a landing spot for Geocoins and Travel Bugs
interested in spending alittle time on the river. FTF: Fishing lure
found on Cat Island, Ms. during BP oil spill clean-up. Congrats to
BeachbumsX2 for FTF!
East Bay River This short, pristine river begins at Steephead
Springs on Eglin Reservation and flows a few miles to East Bay.
Cypress, Spruce and Titi bushes line river banks on both sides.
Very few places to exit boats. Water varies from tea to coffee
color.

**** Note **** Note **** This cache is located on the Eglin AFB
reservation. Hunters and or wild life may be in this area as well
as military personal conducting maneuvers. It is possible
unexploded ordinance could be in the area so be aware of your
surroundings. A permit granting you legal access to the Eglin AFB
Reservation is required to seek and find ANY cache on Eglin AFB
Reservation!!! You must have this permit and it must be in your
possession. The Jackson Guard will check. For $10 you get an
outstanding map and a year-long Recreational Permit. The yearly
permits are valid from Oct 1 thru Sept 30 each year. You can get
your permit from the "Jackson Guard" either in person or by mail
