Geocache Description:

A cache on the confluence of Heath Creek drainage and the drainage areas from west of Wrightwood. I forgot a writing implement so be sure to bring one.

This cache is located at the convergence of two seasonal creeks that continue down into Sheep Creek east of the village of Wrightwood and into the communities of Pinon Hills and Phelan The view of the mountains is nice from here especially in the spring with snow still coating the mountainsides and water flowing through the creek. In this area, actinolite, a greenish rock of glassy crystals can be found. I left a big piece of actinolite nearby. Actinolite is used for precious and semi-precious stones in jewelry, ornamental stones for landscaping and sculptures, and asbestos which has been know to cause Mesothelioma. The higher the iron content, the greener it will be. Inside is a three way plug, a mouse trap, and a FTF treasure.
