Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Explorer Series, hidden along an abandoned railway line.

You have chosen to spend time exploring Canada, just as Jacques Cartier did in 1534 when he explored the St. Lawrence. Here is an easy cache along what was once the Bytown and Prescott Railway Line. Its construction began in 1851. In 1957 passenger service was discontinued, and in 1995 this part of the line was abandoned.

The caches in this series are all camouflaged pill bottles of varying sizes, hanging near the trail. You might find the trail muddy or wet, so come prepared.

The Explorer hides are between Hands Road and Glen Smail Road. You can park along either of these roads. Round trip to find these 13 caches and return to your car is about 4.6 km.
