Etomology is the history of a
word’s meaning, or, somewhat, it’s history, derivation,
use, application and evolution.
I came across the term "r'dorange"
and it appeared to fit this cache to a “T”.
From what I can discover, the term may have evolved as a
colloquialism, derivating from a mixture of French and Native
American words, dating from the French and Indian War era.
As best determined, the term is a noun meaning:
"an aid in guidance towards, or, path leading to a goal or
reward being sought”.
The cache is located on NWCDC property
which
requires a hiking permit.
