** Updated 10/31/16: Sir crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. He died of heart failure at a ripe old age. He protected his loved ones up until the end. He will be missed by so many. Run free, Sir Dog.....run free.


This cache is named after a very handsome white German Shepherd named Sir (aka Sir Dog), and he belongs to the Old CU family. Sir is very loyal to and is fiercely protective of his family. He is a great caching dog once he lets you into his inner circle, though. Old CU and his wife rescued Sir from a bad situation in Nashville, Tennessee several years ago. Now Sir lives the good life and I can’t think of a dog more deserving. I am crazy about him, and I think he just tolerates me but that's okay. :)

You probably won’t see Sir at many caching events because he has a heavy duty attitude problem if he doesn’t know you and you get too close to his dad. You are looking for a camo painted lock and lock container filled with the usual swag. The cache is located in the new Kaw River State Park.
