The cache is located in the general area known as Ashenbank Wood. If you park in the car park in Halfpence Lane you need to find the site of the WW2 Camp #5.From here take the paths northwards towards the EuroTunnel and A2.When you arrive at the wooden fence with a staggered opening turn left along a path running parallel with the railway line. Go through the next gate and you approach the site of Camp #4..Watch out for brambles. You can park at the Inn on the Lake as this would provide refreshment if required, or a small lane near to the bridge over the motorway but it does. reduce the distance to the cache and perhaps your overall enjoyment of the site.If using this approach follow the tarmac road at the side of the railway (Darnley Trail) and enter wood through the gate on your left.Placed with the courtesy of "The Woodlands Trust" Since first placing this cache the undergrowth, particularly nettles, has grown considerably. Please dress suitably and take care with children and animals.
