This cache is right above Alfretto Stoodley's cabin.
Stoodley was the man who ran the Loma Prieta Railroad's land from 1922 to 1951. Stoodley loved hiking all around Nisene Marks and enjoyed seeing the railroad beds slowly getting covered in vegitation. He allowed Italian Tanbark Cutters to go into Nisene Marks and get what they could from the trees. One historian believes that these were the people who made the "out house tree", a large virgin tree that was used as an out house. I currently found the out house tree and made a cache at it. It is currently in the White's Lagoon area of the park, off trail.
On a side note, another thing is mentioned in the cache itself. There is an interesting side attraction for those who go to the cache. If you decide to go to this attraction, be careful and don't mess around with anything....
