Classic Albums III: Standing on a Beach - The Cure Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache_or_Check: Sadly the cache is gone again. The hide was long compromised since the redevelopment of the bike path, but now it looks like even the replacement cache is not safe anymore.

For those people still gathering the clues for the final cache in this series (Dark side of the moon, http://coord.info/GC2R3A9), I have posted a picture.

Geocache Description:

This is the third of four caches dedicated to classic albums. This is an album of one of my favourite bands ‘the Cure’. In 1986 they released this compilation with most of their greatest hits of their first 10 years.

Let's not go to bed, but let's go for a walk. In a forest? No, on a beach! Henley Beach to be precise to a place that is close to me (about 300m). If you go for a walk from the published coordinates (Cibo) to Waypoint WE (just past Joe's kiosk up to the 3 wooden bollards) along the footpaths on either side of the road you will come across a lot of places with numbers. If they match the picture below, keep the numbers. If the picture below cannot be found during your walk discard it. What is left is a traditional Sudoku and once solved you can create the coordinates of the final location of the cache as per the following formula:

S 34 (D8-I6)(I4-A3).B4G7E5

E 138 (D3-E6)(G1+G9).F2A4B7

All pictures are of a terrain rating of 1, which means they are easily visible whilst enjoying the walk and there is no need to look for hidden numbers. If after your walk you feel you need a rest, can I recommend Cibo for great ice cream and Joe's kiosk for great coffee.

You know the drill.... please return the cache and all its camo exactly as you found it.

Oh yes, You may find a cryptic looking laminated sheet in the cache. Take good note of the notations as you will need these for the Classic Albums IV cache - Dark Side of the Moon

Important note (15-12-13): The Henley Surf Life Saving Club work is now complete. The pictures above have changed in three places to reflect the new area.
