This cache was placed in memory of our mum who passed away on the 20 December 2010. This was her favourite place to walk. She was even evacuated here, to a local farm, during the war.
The cache is located just into the woodland, on the northerly side of the wooded valley, below Pot-Hole Crag.
The slope is gentle at the bottom but becomes increasingly steeper as you get higher. Also, there are some steep cliffs in the vicinity of the cache so care is required with geo-kids.
The cache container reflects the beauty of the area and the rich bird song of the woods. As you sign the logbook spend a minute or two and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place just like my mum used to do and you will see why she held this magical place in such high regard.
