A small cache for the small palisades, this is a quick grab with a stunning view of the little cousin of the majestic Palisades Sill further up the canyon.
My family's summer home was located across the highway from this amazing formation. We shared so many wonderful memories from here and I wish everyone could have experienced even a small part of what I experienced. One of those great memories is climbing these palisades with my sister, looking out over the valley, and enjoying a part of nature that is hard to find anywhere else. The land is private property though now. Please do not cross the barbed-wire fence. If you desire to do some rock climbing the Large Palisades in Cimarron Canyon State Park is a popular destination for experienced rock climbers from around the world. Take a moment to enjoy this beautiful area and if you see some trash please remember to CITO please.
